farsali will soon be releasing a jelly highlighter which will be called the jelly beam highlight and will retail for $40 in the us (it is not yet known how much it will retail for in the uk, on beauty bay).the highlighter is meant to apply like jelly and set like a powder, leaving the skin with a wet-satin finish that doesn't slip whilst the Concentrated pigmentation allows for customized glow so we got ourselves in with the chance to test it out so lets get into the review. the packaging is stunning with the product coming in a clear pot with a gold lid and the whole product feels very luxurious and heavy. the actual highlight feels like a highlight but acts and moves like a jelly. we decided to apply it the highpoints of our face on one side with a brush and the other side with the beauty blender, to see which works best. when applying the highlight to our skin, it gave a gorgeous glow and was super easy to blend with both the brush and the beauty blender. it dried down to a powder like finish quite quickly so you would need to blend fast with this product. we definitely recommend this highlight if you like a subtle highlight as it can blended out to make it subtle but you can also hold back on the blending t make it more blinding. the farsali jelly beam highlight is beauty blog approved!! p.s. due to the highlighter not being available yet, we shall not be adding a product link.

I heart makeup highlighters are absolutely stunning and blinding, definitely not for those who like a subtle highlighter, so we wanted to test our their new dragon's heart highlighter and see if it is up to the standard of their other stunning highlighters!! read on to see if we found the i heart makeup dragon's heart highlighter was a hit or a miss for us?!?! Hi everyone, it's mel and this is second collaborative makeup product review with the beauty blog. so today i wanted to review one of my favourite makeup products for you. The sleek make up highlighting 'solstice' palette is my favourite highlighting palette. The palette has four different shades, three of which are powders and one is a cream highlight.
Makeup revolution recently released a new range of liquid highlighters so we decided to review one of them.. were sure we'll review more of them in the future as you can never own enough highlighter!! their new liquid highlighters retail for £6 each which is great, even for a drugstore brand, so when picking up one of their new highlighters, we went for something different with the shade unicorn elixir, just because it's called unicorn elixir and it lured us in with that name, not only that but the swatches online seem dreamy and the packaging is absolutely stunning! the Unicorn Elixir liquid drops are nothing like we've ever seen before, with an iridescent lilac reflective glow. However, unlike the 6 other shades that are more on the opaque side, Unicorn Elixir's shimmer/highlight is suspended in a clear base making the finish more glitter than a blended liquid metal. This was something that we noticed straight away when swatching the highlighter. because of this, we found that the glitter particles didn't blend seamlessly into the skin, unlike other liquid highlighters we've used in the past and so it Looks harsh and more like flecks of glitter on the skin. Unfortunately it seems we picked what we thought was the most appealing shade but in fact it's a shade that doesn't work as a highlighter. A glitter yes, that could possibly be used for more creative makeup but as a liquid highlighter, no. This highlighter was a let down for us as we had high hopes for this particular shade, however this hasn't put us off trying and reviewing the other shades and So we shall be picking up several of the other shades very soon. but for now the shade 'unicorn elixir' is not beauty blog approved!! Milk makeup is a great high end makeup brand that we've been loving for a while, we've loved their blush oil and sunshine skin tint and have decided to review one of their stick highlighters for you. the milk makeup highlighting sticks retail for $24 which is average for a high end makeup brand. the one we are reviewing today is in the shade Lit and it truly is lit. this shade is a sheer, shimmery, peachy champagne highlighter that you can wear for a natural glowy look, or layer for a bold and blinding highlight, and while cream highlighters aren’t particularly great, Milk has perfected this one. there's definitely shimmer in this highlighter but it’s very fine, and when you blend it, ooh-la-la! the skin looks So dewy and it's just effortless. overall, Milk did it right. we not only love the formula of this highlighter but also the colour and tone. Milk calls this universal, and we definitely agree. The champagne peach isn’t too warm or cool toned, it seems to be somewhere right in the middle and so it should work for the majority of skin tones. on top of this, the highlighting stick is easy to use. Milk’s “Melt Technology” responds to your body heat when the product touches your skin, and the cream melts into the skin to look more natural and it really does work. like we said before, this highlighting stick is lit and we think you'll like it and that's why the milk makeup highlighting stick in 'lit' is beauty blog approved fenty beauty by riHANNA LAUNCHED at the start of the month and is stocked at sephora and Harvey Nichols. the buzz in the beauty community surrounding rihanna and fenty beauty has been unbelievable!! we've heard so many good things about the line but we have also heard a few negative things, particularly about the match stix range but we wanted to decide on the new line ourselves. so we decide to purchase a number of The Killawatt Highlighters, which retail at £26 each and available now in six shades at Harvey nichols, along with the rest of the cruelty-free Fenty Beauty by Rihanna line, and you can probably already tell that they’re stunning. They’re shiny, glittery and reflect light to the max, so if you want highlights so bold that you could send an SOS across the universe, you’ll probably be into them. it seems that they're particularly similar to the BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfectors, except the fenty beauty highlighters are a lot more pigmented and OTT. unfortunately, it did make our pores appear slightly larger but we can totally see why so many makeup lovers are losing their minds over them. the pigmentation and cream to powder feel definitely isn't playing around. we most definitely recommend them although you may need to break the bank for them as this is a high end brand and they're not playing with the price point but overall, we love the killawatt highlight and they're absolutely beauty blog approved To purchase the killawatt highlighters from Harvey Nichols, click the picture above:
the Balm Mary Lou Manizer is a highlighter that's been raved about in the beauty community for quite some time now and here at the beauty blog we wanted to review it and give you our opinion on it. so we purchased the highlighter from the superdrug website and it cost £19.99 which is quite expensive for a 'drug-store' product but we thought that if it lived up to the expectations that we have considering everyone else's reviews then it wouldn't be such a bad price point. When testing the highlighter on the skin, we could see that it had a lovely golden hue to it and it blended beautifully with the rest of the face makeup but it wasn't particularly blinding. it was quite a subtle highlighter, so if you love a more natural highlight then we definitely recommend it. it didn't make our pores look bigger or more visible and it looked really natural so if you want a blinding highlight then this product just isn't for you. OVERALL, THE PRODUCT IS LOVELY, CREAMY, SMOOTH ON THE SKIN AND COMPLIMENTS OTHER MAKEUP PRODUCTS AND SO..... THE MARY-LOU MANIZER IS BEAUTY BLOG APPROVED to purchase this product in the uk, follow the link below:
