Hi, my name’s linzi and this is my first collaborative review with the beauty blog. my review is on the rimmel last foundation as this is my everyday foundations. It retails for £8.29 at superdrug, which is affordable as it is a drugstore foundation. This foundation is amazing for coverage and has a large range of shades. I tend to buy 1 shade darker than my natural skin tone, so then I can use it when I tan as well. I’ve tried a range of foundations, from high end, to drugstore, but nothing beats this foundation for me. I have combination skin, and this foundation doesn’t stick to the dry areas of my skin and it doesn’t go oily as the day goes on, which means you dont have to touch up with powder throughout the day. Just like with any foundation, it’s always better to use a primer underneath in order to make the makeup last longer and stick to the skin. i definitely recommend this foundation to anyone as it will work for any skin type. i look forward to collaborating with the beauty blog again and shall see you all soon. love linzi x p.s. follow me on instagram @_linzicox to purchase the foundation from superdrug online, follow the link below: tidd.ly/3d19f521 We enjoy writing reviews on all different types of beauty products but also like to open up to your about our favourites from time to time so we've decided to write about our top 3 favourite foundations and not only that but they're all drugstore foundations which means if you fancy trying them for yourselves, then it wont break the bank.
THE TOO FACE BORN THIS WAY FOUNDATION IS A PRODUCT THAT HAS BEEN CIRCLING AROUND SOCIAL MEDIA FOR A WHILE NOW SO WE HAVE DECIDED TO REVIEW IT HERE AT THE BEAUTY BLOG. WE PURCHASED THE FOUNDATION FROM THE DEBENEHAMS WEBSITE FOR £29 WHICH IS QUITE EXPENSIVE BUT TOO FACED IS A HIGH END MAKEUP BRAND SO IF YOU PREFER HIGH END BRANDS AND PRICE TAGS THEN IT MIGHT BE FOR YOU. SO ON THE DEBENHAMS WEBSITE IT SAYS THAT THE 'Born This Way FOUNDATION is an oil free foundation that masterfully diffuses the line between make up and skin. For coverage so undetectable, you can't see the make up and imperfections, all that's left is naturally radiant skin that looks like you were born this way. This revolutionary liquid foundation is infused with a potent combination of coconut water to naturally replenish moisture levels, nature's resilient alpine rose to brighten the skin's appearance and promote elasticity and hyaluronic acid for a smoother, more youthful appearance. For medium coverage, apply a small amount from the centre of the face outward and blend with fingertips, sponge or brush. Build to full coverage by layering as needed.' SO WHEN TESTING THE FOUNDATION ON PRIMED SKIN, IT WAS CLEAR TO SEE THAT THE COVERAGE WASNT GREAT TO START WITH BUT IT WAS BUILDABLE TO MEDIUM COVERAGE, DEFINITELY NOT FULL AT ALL!! WHEN YOU FIRST APPLY IT, ITS GOT QUITE A WATERY CONSISTENCY AND IT BECOMES TACKY ON THE FACE SO WE HAD TO SET IT IN PLACE WITH A SETTING POWDER, IN ORDER TO MAKE IT MATTE. AFTER A FEW HOURS WE NOTICED THAT THE SKIN WAS BECOMING REALLY OILY AND THE FOUNDATION WAS STARTING TO SLIDE OFF AND SO IF YOU HAVE OILY SKIN THIS FOUNDATION DEFINITELY ISNT FOR YOU. THE FOUNDATION MAY WORK BETTER ON AND LAST LONGER ON DRY AND COMBINATION SKIN. OVERALL, CONSIDERING THR PRICE AND THE PERFORMANCE OF THE FOUNDATION, WE DON'T THINK THE FOUNDATION SHOULD BE BEAUTY BLOG APPROVED To purchase the too faced born this way foundation for £29 in the uk, click the link below:
www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_154614104999_-1 The dermacol make up cover has been used in film and studio for years to cover up imperfections as a concealer and foundation. It is known for it's high pigmentation and full coverage and several beauty influencers have recently been testing it out, so we thought we'd try it for ourselves. The 'foundation' retails for £8-£40 on amazon uk. when testing it out we noticed that less is definitely more with this foundation as a little bit goes a long way which is definitely a good thing because then you use less product, don't have to buy as often and in turn, save yourself a bit of money. it is absolutely full coverage as it claims to be but it has a very thick consistency, which makes it look cakey on the skin throughout the day and it starts to crease. the foundation started to break up after a few hours and the face started to look very oily, a lot oiler than it would with any other foundation. obviously in the film and studio community, this foundation is only used during shooting and is constantly being touched up which makes it fine for them to use but in the real world the foundation just didn't stand the test of time. it could definitely be used as a concealer and we think that's how it'll work best. so as a foundation, it is not beauty blog approved, but as a concealer..... it is beauty blog approved You can purchase the dermacol makeup cover from the amazon uk website by following the link below:
www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01LVZ4I2B/ref=s9_dcacsd_dcoop_bw_c_x_1_w I recently purchased the Milani 2 in 1 foundation because I'd seen it being 'hyped' about on youtube and wanted to try it for myself and so i thought i'd give you all my honest opinion on it. I bought mine in the shade 'natural' from beautybay.com and it was only £13.00 so i thought if it's as great as everyone has made it out to be then even better, at that price i would happily make it my holy grail FOUNDATION. i tried the foundation out this morning, using it as I would with any other foundation... moisturising, priming, powdering, all that jazz. so the foundation claims that it's full coverage and it's a concealer and foundation in 1! The beauty bay website also says that it claims to "Reduce the need for a separate concealer, the richly pigmented formula requires just one layer for a naturally perfected, water resistant veil that covers everything from blemishes and redness, to dark circles and imperfections." now to me that sounds like my sort of foundation. so now you're thinking well what the hell is my opinion of the foundation!?!?!? well..... When i tried it out I absolutely loved it, the coverage wasnt what i would call full, but it definitely gave me medium buildable coverage. the colour match wasnt great, the swatch online looked a lot lighter that what I recieved but that was understandable because im not great at shade matching anyway. the foundation actually lasted really well, it lasted about 5 hours before i started to get oily but even then it didnt go funky or anything. whether this was down to the primer or powder i used, i'm not sure but even so i definitely recommend this foundation, i think it's got a great price point for what it is and it lasts well. This product is beauty blog approved.IN THE UK YOU CAN BUY THIS FOUNDATION ONLINE FROM BEAUTY BAY. Just follow the link below:
