The Tarte Amazonian clay palette has been spreading its way across the makeup community for quite some time now so we thought we'd test it out. On the description it says that It's an all matte palette with 12 exclusive eyeshadows. we bought the palette from the amazon uk website at £45.51 as you can only purchase tarte products from qvc and amazon in the uk. when testing the shadows out on primed lids, it was clear to see how pigmented the shadows were and we didn't need to pick much product up on the brush in order to get high pigmentation, which saves on wasting product with fall out. the shades are long lasting on the lid, although this may have been due to primer. The shades are gorgeous and all matte, meaning you can use them all in your crease, would have been nice to have a shade with a little shimmer for the lid but having all mattes is so much more universal and the price point isn't too bad, considering you get 12 highly pigmented shades and remembering that tarte is a high end makeup brand. we would definitely purchase again and will continue to use this palette in the future. the Tarte Amazonian clay palette is beauty blog approved To get the palette in the uk for £45.51, click the link below:

We've decided to review another one of Ciaté London's lip products, so that we can fully support them during our partnership. this time we're reviewing their liquid velvet lipstick. it retails for £17 on their uk website which we feel is quite a good price point for a drugstore lipstick. This liquid lipstick consists of 7 shades. we tested out the shade bitter sweet, which is a grey mink shade, when putting it on the lips it gave off high pigmentation and was a really creamy and soft consistency. the shade was beautiful, really complimentary for olive skin tones. The liquid lipstick dried down quickly to a beautiful matte finish and didn't feel drying at all on the lips. we loved this lipstick from Ciaté London and it is beauty blog approved

here at the beauty blog, we are now in partnership with Ciaté London and so we want to try out some of their bestselling products... So we decided to purchase their glitter flip Transforming Glitter Liquid Lipstick. on their website it claims to be another #WORLDFIRST innovation. it says the Glitter Flip is a transforming metallic liquid lipstick with extreme glitter finish in multi-dimensional shades. There are 7 shades of this magical glitter lipstick, ranging from pink to teal to black. so we tried out the pink and the black, which are the darkest and lightest shades. before we started to test the lipstick, we had an idea of how it would act and thought it was a bit of gimmick but upon applying the lipstick we noticed it had a subtle glitter sheen to it on the lips and when we pressed the lips together we were absolutely amazed that it had worked!!!! we absolutely love this product, It's made the Glitter lip look so much easier and the pigment of 2 shades we purchased was great. WE just hope that Ciaté will bring out more shades soon because we think this is going to be a massive hit! The Ciaté London glitter flip is most definitely beauty blog approved

the SMASHBOX #SHAPE MATTERS CONTOUR PALETTE IS A PRODUCT THAT WE HAVENT SEEN BEEN REVIEWED VERY OFTEN, SO WE THOUGHT WE'D GIVE YOU A REVIEW TO HELP YOU IF YOU ARE THINKING OF PURCHASHING THIS PALETTE. unfortunately, after purchasing, we found that the palette was no longer available on any uk websites. you can buy the palette from amazon but when we searched for it, the cheapest price to buy the palette was £97. we purchased ours from boots at £44 which is an understandable price as smashbox is a high end brand. the palette comes with 9 Eye Shadows, 2 Brow Powders, a Brow Wax, 2 Highlighters, a Bronzer, a Contour Powder and a Double-Ended Shadow/Brow Brush so it seems to be good value for money. when testing the eyeshadows they were extremely pigmented and really easy to blend, they do have a lot of fallout which is the downside to these eyeshadows. the contouring shades were great, again really pigmented, the colour was great, didn't look muddy on the face. overall, all of the powders were great, really pigmented and great colours, there was just a lot of fallout and the price is high but the brand is high end so its understandable. it's NOT SOMETHING WE WOULD BUY AGAIN BECAUSE WE HAVE OTHER PRODUCTS THAT ARE A LOT CHEAPER AND WORK JUST AS WELL BUT THIS PRODUCT IS STILL BEAUTY BLOG APPROVED
the Balm Mary Lou Manizer is a highlighter that's been raved about in the beauty community for quite some time now and here at the beauty blog we wanted to review it and give you our opinion on it. so we purchased the highlighter from the superdrug website and it cost £19.99 which is quite expensive for a 'drug-store' product but we thought that if it lived up to the expectations that we have considering everyone else's reviews then it wouldn't be such a bad price point. When testing the highlighter on the skin, we could see that it had a lovely golden hue to it and it blended beautifully with the rest of the face makeup but it wasn't particularly blinding. it was quite a subtle highlighter, so if you love a more natural highlight then we definitely recommend it. it didn't make our pores look bigger or more visible and it looked really natural so if you want a blinding highlight then this product just isn't for you. OVERALL, THE PRODUCT IS LOVELY, CREAMY, SMOOTH ON THE SKIN AND COMPLIMENTS OTHER MAKEUP PRODUCTS AND SO..... THE MARY-LOU MANIZER IS BEAUTY BLOG APPROVED to purchase this product in the uk, follow the link below:

Avène is another skincare company that we are in partnership with so we wanted to test out a product of theirs so that we could fully believe and support the brand. THE PRODUCT IS SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO BE USED AS A Daily Mattifying moisturiser, Help TO reduce excess oil, Hydrate and soothe the skin AND Smooth THE skin's complexion. UPON TESTING THE MOISTURISER, WE USED IT BEFORE APPLYING FOUNDATION AND NOTICED THAT THROUGHOUT THE DAY, THE SKIN WAS LESS OILY THAN NORMAL, KEEPING THE SHINE DOWN. IT MADE THE SKIN FEEL FRESH, HYDRATED AND SMOOTH AND THE SKIN SEEMED TO HAVE FEWER BREAKOUTS THE NEXT DAY. the face makeup went on so much smoother and looked more natural when using this moisturiser. The moisturiser retails for $55 on the Avène website which £41.67 currently, making this a high end product, we personally don't think the price point is great but if you enjoy luxurious brands for skincare and beauty products then we definitely recommend this product, particularly if you have oily, combination and acne prone skin. this moisturising lotion is beauty blog approved

Vanity planet is a company that we are in partnership with here at the beauty blog so we thought we'd try out some of their products, because we believe that we need to enjoy and support the brands that we are partnership with. however, this post is in no way sponsored by vanity planet. when testing out the pedispin pedicure system, we noticed how smooth it made our feet after following the steps given by vanity planet. we were really impressed as it makes our feet feel as great as if we went for a pedicure at a salon. the pedispin is currently on offer on the vanity planet website, making it better than half price. the pedispin is normally £45.46 on their website but is currently £15.15. for the original price we think the price point is quite high, making it a high end brand. the to9ls that it comes with works for all types of feet, depending on how rough and dry your feet are. so if you are interested in this product, we think its worth getting it now before the price reduction ends. this product is most definitely beauty blog approved

Before we start on the review of this stunning palette, we would just like to say how much we love urban decay as a brand and how much we have enjoyed using their other eyeshadow palettes. When testing the palette, it was clear to see that urban decay had made sure it was as pigmented as their previous naked palettes. the shades were easy to blend and the brush that comes with the palette was also great to blend the shadows out with. The shadows are all matte, which means they all work great as crease colours. The packaging is STUNNING and has the biggest mirror I've seen in a palette, MEANING IT WOULD BE GREAT FOR TRAVEL. the RANGE OF colours IN THIS PALETTE MEANS THAT YOU can create A RANGE OF looks. THIS PALETTE IS MOST DEFINITELY BEAUTY BLOG APPROVED To purchase the palette online, click the link below:

It is known for it's high pigmentation and full coverage and several beauty influencers have recently been testing it out, so we thought we'd try it for ourselves. The 'foundation' retails for £8-£40 on amazon uk. when testing it out we noticed that less is definitely more with this foundation as a little bit goes a long way which is definitely a good thing because then you use less product, don't have to buy as often and in turn, save yourself a bit of money. it is absolutely full coverage as it claims to be but it has a very thick consistency, which makes it look cakey on the skin throughout the day and it starts to crease. the foundation started to break up after a few hours and the face started to look very oily, a lot oiler than it would with any other foundation. obviously in the film and studio community, this foundation is only used during shooting and is constantly being touched up which makes it fine for them to use but in the real world the foundation just didn't stand the test of time. it could definitely be used as a concealer and we think that's how it'll work best. so as a foundation, it is not beauty blog approved, but as a concealer..... it is beauty blog approved You can purchase the dermacol makeup cover from the amazon uk website by following the link below:
www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01LVZ4I2B/ref=s9_dcacsd_dcoop_bw_c_x_1_w sO AS I'm sure you all know, there has been plenty of negative opinions on the Anastasia Beverley hills subculture palette so here at the beauty blog we thought we'd check it out ourselves and decide for ourselves. this is the second eyeshadow palette that abh has created and with how great the modern renaissance palette was, we had high expectations for the second, subculture palette. We purchased the palette from beauty bay for £41.00 and it contains 14 eyeshadows, ranging from ultra-mattes to duo chromes and to metallic finishes. When swatching the shadows, it seemed that some were more pigmented than others but swatches don't always show how it'll react on the eyelid with primer so we ignored this issue. when applying the eyeshadows to primed eyelids, several of them still didn't have great pigmentation. the shadows were very powdery and were difficult to blend on the lid. when trying to blend them they became patchy and seemed to only stick to certain places on the eyelid. for £41.00 this is not something we expected from a high end palette, the whole palette was hit and miss for us and so at the price point it is not beauty blog approved. If you're still interested in the subculture palette, you can purchase it from beautybay.com for £41.00 by clicking the link below:
