Weve not reviewed makeup tools before and we thought we should, in order to give you all an idea of the best and cheapest makeup tools to apply your makeup. The Real Techniques Core Collection makeup brush set is a great set for beginners as you get 4 makeup brushes for the purpose of base makeup. You get a pointed foundation brush, contour brush, a detailer brush and a buffing brush, all for £21.99 which seems a lot for 4 brushes but the brushes sold separately retail for around £10 so it’s a bargain really, especially considering the quality of these brushes. We have several Real Techniques brushes in our collection and they have always performed brilliantly and have never had a problem with them. The brushes apply your makeup so perfectly and seamlessly. This set is definitely a must have in your collection, particularly if you’re just starting out! It would also be great as a Christmas present for someone who is enthusiastic about makeup. The Real Techniques Core Collection is most definitely Beauty Blog approved!! P.S. to purchase the Core Collection, click the link below: fave.co/2zD23l8

our all time holy grail powder has got to be the rcma no colour powder!! We've had it in our collection for quite a few months now and no matter what powder we test out we still come back to this one. it lasts so long because you don't need much of the powder and you actually get quite a lot of the product. the packaging may be seen as quite cheap but that doesn't bother us because it is the product itself that we love so the packaging doesn't particularly matter. what is also great about this powder is that it doesn't cause flashback when you have flash photos taken, so you don't end up with a white cast over your face in all your selfies!! it lasts all day even on our oily skin, with no need for touch ups throughout the day, and not only that but it keeps your foundation and concealer from creasing in fine lines, such as in your smile lines and under your eyes. it also helps to brighten under your eyes which is great if you tend to have dark circles. If you haven't already got this powder, you need to get your hands on it!! specifically because it retails for £13 on beauty bay which may seem a lot for a powder but considering how much you get, it would probably be about the same price as any other drugstore powder!! the rcma no colour powder is definitely beauty blog approved!! to purchase the rcma no colour powder, click the link below: fave.co/2zAlL0L The makeup eraser is something that was hyped about a while back but our blog wasn't around back then so we wanted to try it out now!! We purchased the original makeup eraser and also a similar product from makeup revolution. the original one retails for £17 at Selfridges and the similar one is by makeup revolution and retails for £10 which isn't too much of a price gap but we wanted to test them both out to see if the makeup revolution one is a dupe for the original. so we had a full face of makeup on for a full day and before bed we took one half of our face makeup off with the original makeup eraser and the other half with the makeup revolution eraser towel. To be brutally honest with you all, both products did the exact same thing!!! they both took our makeup off so easily and quickly, however, they both struggled to take off our waterproof mascara so we did still have to use a makeup wipe but only 1!! to fully test these makeup removing towels out we also used a cleanser on both side of the face after to see if it had really taken all of the makeup and dirt off our face and there was literally nothing on the cotton pad when we cleansed our face!! we couldn't believe it but these makeup towels are revolutionary and you definitely need to get your hands on one. both the makeup revolution version and the original are beauty blog approved!!! to purchase the original makeup eraser, click the link below: fave.co/2zukVCO to purchase the makeup revolution pro makeup eraser towel, click the link below:
tidd.ly/a9f86fc5 we absolutely love the urban decay eyeshadow primer potion and we have yet to find a dupe for this primer; but for now, we're just going to have to keep buying it, mainly because it makes everything else we put down on our eyelids last so much longer and also makes shadows look so much more vivid and pigmented. this stuff is literally like cement for your eyelid!!! this potion stuff has got to be the holy grail of all holy grails for us!! we recommend this to everyone, regardless of your skin type!! we absolutely LOVE IT to death. the only downside to this product is that we don't particularly love the wand applicator as it's easier to use by just squeezing the product out of the tube onto the back of your hand or mixing palette. the product comes in several shades, including the shades; eden, minor sin and caffeine. there is also 2 other 'shades' of the primer potion which are the original and the anti-ageing one but don't actually seem to have a shade to them when blended onto the lid. all of the shades retail for £17 which isnt too bad of a price considering urban decay is a high-end makeup brand and the product itself lasts for ages so it's definitely worth the price and the hype!!! the urban decay primer potion is definitely beauty blog approved!!! to purchase the urban decay primer potion in the uk, follow the link below: fave.co/2iG6cMU Topshop are known as a highstreet clothing brand yet they also have their makeup line nowadays so we decided to test out a few bits from there. today were reviewing their lipsticks as you will have already guessed from the title of this blog post!! duhhhh! So we bought several of their nude lipstick shades and also a few of their darker brown shades. the packaging is a matte white lipstick tube that feels really sturdy, definitely not cheap feeling at all. when applying the lipsticks to our lips we noticed how creamy the lipstick was and also how pigmented they are!! omggg! the pigmentation of these lipsticks is insane!! we absolutely love them and shall definitely be adding more to our collection!! the only problem is, is that because these arent matte lipsticks and theyre a creamy satin finish, they dont last all day and you would need to reapply after eating, drinking and kissing, meaning that unfortunATELY, THESE LIPSTICKS ARENT KISSPROOF. BUT WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM A SATIN FINISH LIPSTICK, WE TEND TO EXPECT TO REAPPLY THROUGHOUT THE DAY WITH THESE TYPES OF LIPSTICKS EVEN IF THEYRE FROM A HIGH END BRAND. OVERALL, WE'VE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH THESE LIPSTICKS AND THEIR FORMULA AND CANT WAIT TO SPLASH THE CASH ON THE REST OF TOPSHOP'S LIPSTICKS!!! the lipsticks retail for £8 each which isnt too bad a price for a highstreet brand and we certAINLY recommend to you, because the topshop lipsticks are beauty blog approved!! P.S. TO PURCHASE THE TOPSHOP LIPSTICKS, CLICK THE LINK BELOW: go.redirectingat.com?id=114253X1573143&xs=1&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.topshop.com%2F%3Fgeoip%3Dhome Hey guys, la-che here!! I have been wanting to use The real techniques beauty blender for a while now, so i decided to purchase it And now Ive fallen in love with it!! it is one of the best makeup sponges that I have purchased and tried out. It blends your foundation and concealer out so easily and seamlessly, and the flat edge really allows the product to melt into your skin, sometimes i feel like it is even better than my average makeup brush. the flat edge is also great for cutting your contour and baking under your eyes with a setting powder. THE POINTED TIP IS GREAT WHEN APPLYING YOUR CONCEALER.You can purchase this at ULTA in the us, like I did or you can purchase it online. in the uk you can purchase it from boots or superdrug. They are very affordable, retailing at £5.99 in the uk at superdrug. when using the sponge, you are supposed to run it under water and squeeze out the excess until the sponge is just damp, this is so that the sponge doesnt soak up as much product and blends your cream products out easier. I shall see you all next tuesday at 10.30am GMT for my next blog post!! love la-che x p.s. to purchase the real techniques makeup sponge in the uk, follow the link below: tidd.ly/21b229a2 To purchase this product in the us, click the link below:
go.redirectingat.com?id=114253X1573143&xs=1&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ulta.com%2F setting powders are something we don't actually test out much here at the beauty blog and we were getting bored of using the same powder all the time so we purchased the make up for ever hd powder to see if it was as good as the price tag makes us suspect. the packaging is quite heavy so definitely doesnt feel cheap. the powder itself is very fine milled and perfect for baking under the eyes and cutting your contour. when we baked under our eyes with it made our skin appear so much smoother and seemed to hide our texture and over-sized pores which we were definitely happy about!! we also noticed how much longer it made our makeup last with no need for touch ups at all through the day as the powder just seemed to suck up all the oil off our face which is another plus. but is it really worth the hefty price tag of £22?? unfortunately for our bank account we think it is as it's such a big pot so it'll last a long time and considering how much longer our makeup lasted and how we didnt need to touch up every so often, we definitely think its worth the money. we have most definitely found our new favourite powder which is why the make up for ever hd powder is beauty blog approved!!! p.s. to purchase the make up for ever hd powder, click the link below: fave.co/2iK7Ugk MaKeup Revolution has recently released their new skin kiss highlighters and they look stunning so we Wanted to try one of them out. We managed to get our hands on the sHade prismatic kiss. This shade SeEms to be a mixture of an iRidescent pink and a liLac Shade which will look stunning on lighter skin tones. When Swatching the highlighter and applying it to the high points of our face, we could see how highly pigmented the highlighter itself was, giving us a perfect pink glow that meLted into the Skin. It wasnt too powdery and the Light shade meAnt we didnt have a dark streak left on our face. ApplyIng with a wet brush gave the highlight more inTensity on the skin. We are absolutely loving the pIgmentation and formula of this highlight and also the colour of It! We definitely RecommeNd these highlighTers to anyone as you can start sUbtle and then reapply to create that blinding Highlight and luckIly you wont have to break the bank as it retails for £5!!!
To puRchase this highlighter, follow the link below: tidd.ly/ce6236be Im sure you’ll all remeMber The rimmel stay matte powder from back in the day in high school when you used to rock foundation lips and back comb your hair to death, but this powder is DEFINITELY still a favourite of ours!! It doEsnt make our makeup look cakey and helps it to last All day long. As you All know by now, we get really oily skin, paricularly in the t-zone area but this powder minimises it along with our pores but at the same time dOesnt make our skin look powdery and dry. Because the packaging is small snd rOund its easy enough to travel With and take out in a cluTch bag on a night out, For touch ups. And not only all of that good stuff but this powder doesnt give flashback whatsoever!! That means no ghostly looking face in all the pictures from your night on the town!!! Yay! We defiNitely recommEnd this powder If you havent tried it alreadY! This powder is certainly beauty blog approved and is our favourite drugstore powder by far and it only retails for £3.99 at superdrug!! To purchase thE rimmel stay matte pOwder, click the link below:
tidd.ly/11ed2474 Anastasia Beverley Hills recently released their 3rd eyeshadow palette which they have called the Prism palette, but will it be a repeat of the subculture palette which we all know by now was a complete flop! but Woooooooow! the palette is even more pretty than we would have ever expected! Actually that’s not technically true, since abh dropped this baby on us out of no where and we didn’t have time to create expectations. ok so The palette is supposedly limited edition and has 14 eyeshadows which is the Same as the last two abh palettes. The palette contains 7 matte shades and 7 shimmers. although the ingredients are the same as the subculture palette, the formula is completely different, much creamier and softer, definitely not as powdery or patchy. There is a little bit of kick up but it’s definitely not as much fall out as the Subculture. this palette is definitely more on the Modern Renaissance level. Overall we're very impressed. Out of the 14 eyeshadows, only 1 of the shades flopped. However we noticed a lot of similarities to their previous palettes. the shade Lucid is definitely the flop of the palette, which is shame because it's a stunning shade but very similar to cube for the subculture palette and we found it difficult to swatch this shade, definitely not a great amount of pigmentation in this shade. there are definitely some similar shades in the palette, compared to the modern renaissance and subculture so if you already have one of those palette we wouldn't encourage you to run out and buy this palette, especially as it retails for £42!!! but if you don't have either of abh's first 2 palettes and you enjoy creating bold eye looks then we think this palette is definitely for you! overall, the prism palette is beauty blog approved! p.s. to purchase the abh prism palette, click the picture above and follow the link!! |
